This pod-hybrid is excellent for DSLR's like the Canon EOS series but for heavier cameras like the Canon 5D I suggest looking into a sturdier option. But for those with minimal needs and just can't keep your hands steady, this product is a great option and certainly for the price. My only other gripe is that it comes with a carrying bag but not all the pieces fit in there easily.
