What they don’t tell you is that you need to buy a USB3 Camera adapter cable and USB audio stereo sound adapter if you want to use it on any iPhone that has the lightning plug. They say it works with the adapter that comes with your phone, but it doesn’t because your phone won’t recognize there’s a mic there. The adapters will cost you another $40, but either way you will need them if you want any mic to be recognized by your newer iPhone. After using this product a couple of times I wish I spent a little extra on better mics. They barely pick up any sound unless you have them an inch from you mouth. Don’t waste your money on these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best purchase *by K***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2019* I need a recording mic to record my presentation and usually just record with my iPhone, but tried out this mic and it made a huge difference. It works really well, clear and loud and over a 40-50 ft distance. The sound is more crisp and warm compared to recording straight from my iPhone. As the phone receives and sends data, it picks up the electromagnetic signals as sound. Meaning that if you want to do a youtube or facebook live you can't. You would completely have to turn you phone antennas off and turn your airplane mode on.
