However i give it 4.5 / 5 as when you CARRY / PRESS both handles TOGETHER with ONE HAND the base part will become partially DETACHED, however when there is clothing or items in the basket the weight will still press down on the base enough to prevent folding (minor defect which is necessary as the folding engineering has to work the same way). You will NEED to press down on the base and check all parts of base (which is detachable fully) is secure to the main body else it will fall flat downwards!

A: The correct dimensions are 71x39.5x3cm (28x15.5x 1. 1/2 inches) when folded flat for storage. So neat! When assembled it provides a large wash load capacity and measures approx 58.5x38x39cm (23-25” x15x15.5inches tall). Hope this helps.

**Q: Had basket since march been using since early june, now kees falling apart. help !!!!**
A: I had the same problem.  The plastic bits that hold it together spread each time it is used until eventually it doesn't clip properly.  Had to send mine back.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent space saver for small homes — but a couple of things to know

I bought this because we don’t have a dedicated utility room and a normal rigid washing basket was constantly in the way. I wanted something that could disappear when not in use rather than living permanently in the hallway. **First impressions** It arrives folded completely flat, which honestly surprised me — it’s only a few centimetres thick when stored. Once opened you push the base down and it “clicks” into shape. The plastic feels fairly sturdy and not brittle, and the handles are comfortable to hold even when full. **Capacity / real-world use** The 38L size is about right for one full washing machine load in our house. I’ve used it daily for: * carrying clothes upstairs * moving wet washing to the airer * collecting laundry from bedrooms It easily holds towels and bedding without bowing out. Importantly, it doesn’t collapse when you pick it up, which I was slightly worried about with a folding design. **The main advantage (why I bought it)** The folding feature is genuinely useful. After emptying it, I fold it and slide it beside the washing machine. It takes almost no space and is far less annoying than a normal basket sitting around the house. This would be particularly good for: • flats • smaller houses • students • homes without a utility room **Things to be aware of** * The base needs a firm push to lock flat the first few times * The sides flex slightly when completely full of heavy wet towels * It’s wide rather than tall, so not ideal for narrow cupboards **Cleaning** Very easy — wipe clean plastic and the holes help ventilation so damp clothes don’t smell if left briefly. **Who it’s for / who it isn’t for** Good choice if you want a practical everyday basket that stores away neatly. Not ideal if you want a permanent laundry hamper or something decorative for a bedroom. **Overall** It’s not fancy, but it solves a very specific problem — storage. For anyone short on space it’s much more convenient than a traditional rigid laundry basket, which is why I’ve kept it in daily use.
