There isn't. Its about 3ft. Which means if you are hanging the lights you have to also hang the solar panel .It also needs a lot of direct sunlight if you want the lights to work for more than 3 hours. I have moved the panel a couple of times to find the right spot for better charge. You can add batteries to back up the power supply. (I haven't done this.)Easy to install and use. They are very heavy duty. After only a week of having them up, 2 strands only last about 3 hours. The other strand lasts a good 7 hours. They all get the same amount of light. It’s odd because the 2 strands always go out minutes within each other. After clicking them on and off, still nothing. Wish that they worked longer :( UPDATE: After sitting outside and watching them for the first time, both strands randomly keep taking turns going on and off. They stayed on for maybe 5 minutes, before going out again.
