Very sturdy. Drawbacks - very wide ruled. I prefer college ruled paper. I'll be writing smaller and not following the lines for my spacing. The main drawback for me, and I am quite disappointed is that the cover and pages do not wrap easily around to the back. I wanted to be able to use the notebook this way, with the cover turned completely around to the back, and I still will, it just takes a bit of effort. I know not everyone wants to use it this way, but maybe this will help one person.
