Thickness was good. Take your time and follow the instructions. If you scrape off too much of the existing paint, you may see a little light around the edges. This AC button repair kit was extremely easy to install. I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol and wiped the surface with the included lint free wipe. I used a pair of tweezers to assist in aligning and applying the decals. It has only been a few weeks but during that time we took a 1600 mile trip and still looks great! The good news is the kit comes with two complete set of decals. Very high quality thick "stickers". It suggests to chip off the old paint for the best adhesion. So I originally started with sand paper, not knowing how easily the paint would come off with a razor blade. So switched to the razor blade to get the rest of the old paint off. After that used an alcohol wipe to make sure there was no residue and the surface was clean. Used tweezers to apply. And now they look brand new!
