It can swivel/pivot 360 degrees on its base and can flip over in both vertical and horizontal positions to reverse the view (the angle is also adjustable in both positions). The base is weighted, without being excessively heavy. This product fits my iPad Air 2 with a Supcase Beetle case installed. The mounting bracket holds the tablet very securely with all ports and buttons easily accessible, and also has a quick-release mechanism to detach/re-attach the tablet with bracket still in place from the base. I only wish I knew about this product sooner. This is a fabulous product and well worth the price. I have a 7" tablet and it's a perfect, snug fit. You can swivel and tilt to your heart's content - landscape or portrait positioning, too. My tablet charges with a connection in the bottom of the tablet frame and I can plug in the charger while the tablet is in the station without causing any difficulties at all. That was an important feature for me. There are similar products "out there," but this one was just a few dollars less so I opted to get it since my budget is tight. I would absolutely recommend this tablet station in a heart beat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Darned Good Stand *by K***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2014* This is a pretty darned good stand. It does require assembly involving one screw. A minor pain. Nothing Serious. I use it to hold my 12" Galaxy Pro tablet. The arms barely stretch wide enough to hold it in the shorter dimension. It doesn't feel quite heavy enough. But it is stable, even for my heavier, bulkier 12" tablet. I guess the diameter of the base plus the weight is enough to keep it stable. You can disconnect the base of the gripper arms from the riser. I think this is conceptualized a "quick release", But it is too clumsy for that. And even with smaller tablets, the spring loaded arms are stiff. You should n't think of this as something you can extricate your tablet from quickly. This stand is best if you are contemplating de-mobilizing your tablet, such as keeping it on the kitchen counter for use during cooking, or the beside for relaxing before sleep, or as a permanent feature on a office desk. This may seem counter intuitive, but placing two or three tablets strategically around your house at fixed locations can be very handy. If you are going to use your tablet as a point of sale, this is the thing.Update: I decided to use this to hold my Samsung Galaxy Note 8" tablet in my living room. It won't fit. The shorter dimension is to small and the longer dimension is to great. The stands largest span is about a 1/4" too short the longest dimension.
