I had it on a baby shower table and it was fine. I didn't glue it together, so it was just being held up by its own structure. It was easy to build it and take it down. The strings don't come attached to the hearts, so I would recommend taking some time the day before your event to attach the strings, so that way your guests don't have to because it can be a little time consuming trying to tie them. We used a fine tip sharpie to write messages on them and it worked great.
