It was packaged inside a bunch of styro-foam, and all the parts that could break from being turned upside down, where either taped in place or they were held down with little pieces twist-tie wire. (Thanks Crosley.) For the price that I got it for here on desertcart, I think it's a steal. I'm sure they are selling these at a loss because I think it's way too nice for what I paid. It probably should have cost closer to the MSRP on the Crosley website. We love it! ### ⭐ Don't Buy This *by H***D on June 2, 2011* Please don't buy this console. While it looks AMAZING and its sound is even okay provided you don't mind a lack of low end and don't want to listen to heavy metal or the like, it is a piece of trash. The needle is not weighted properly, which means that on any record with a high dynamic of sound, it will skip like crazy. It could play loud records fine and soft records fine, but it could not handle any variance. To add to that, the left speaker on mine shorted out within about 2 weeks of owning the unit. When I called Crosley and spoke with a technician, they said there was nothing to do but to return it, which I have.
