I returned it for this beauty. The setup was incredibly easy, plug it in, download the software from the disc, and your ready... in all about 5 minutes. Some reviews said it was loud and the fan stays on... the printer is no louder than any other printer and all laser printers have fans, this one is pretty quiet, and doesn't stay on longer than a couple minutes after the last page has printed. The printing is incredibly fast and the quality is exactly what I was looking for. If you are printing text, it is perfect; I wouldn't recommend full page black and white photos though. I've had it for only a couple days, so we'll see how it lasts. This one didn't last 6 months, now I know why. Brother now has a "hard shutdown" toner detection switch in its printers to sell more toner.The detection switch breaks easily. All my cartridges are full but the printer says I have NO Toner and it will not print . Now I'm out close to three hundred bucks. Now I have two of the same printers and 6 Toner cartridges and can't use any of it. Piece of crap.
