This unit works just as good or better than units that cost 3 to 4 times more. Based on past results I expect to get a good 5 to 6 years out of this unit equating to a cost of $20.00 a year, cheaper than one meal at a fast food restaurant. This thing works great. Works better and with less suction than my old cleaner and cost me less than $100 vs $300+ for my old unit. The plastic seems a little on the frail side so I don't think that it will take much abuse if your the kind of guy who just wants to throw it in a deck cabinet and put a bunch of junk on it, but with a little bit of care it seems like it should last at least a couple of years if not longer.
