In fact I've used it to find my way out of North Maine Woods before therefore I carry it even in daytime in my camera pack cause you never know where you will end up and need light. I bought this to use with my Nikon D7000 as its an incredible DSLR but an exceptional video camera as well that has gotten raving reviews from even Hollywood! It's slides right into to top of camera light mount or hot shoe area and has a swivel lock to turn to lock it in place facing any direction. It's super bright and sends light out 170 degrees width and vertical since led lens is right flush with face. It comes with long lasting lithium very flat battery that goes right into back of light and charges rapidly with included charger. No other batteries will fit this light other then one that comes with it but then I saw it was an easy to order battery used in a lot of very thin ultra compact cameras. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and Cheap *by M***Z on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 26, 2012* I use it on my Canon 7D and it fits just fine. The rechargable battery is a huge plus. Because it is made of plastic, it feels light and that is fine by me since a 7D with a battery pack is heavy enough. The light is small and thus covers a decent area but (since these are so cheap) I plan on buying a few more and connecting then together. There is also no way to adjust the intesity or tempeture color of the light but I guess that has something to do with why these are so cheap.
