Yes, it is expensive but when I was fed up with plastic pill cutters, I decided to try the Swiss version. It is solid metal, precision cut, finely machined and it is a good long term investment. There are blades on both top and bottom so the pill will not lay flat for positioning. You must hold it with your fingers or tweezers and guess if its in the middle. The description is critical of the "cheap" plastic cutters but the ones with "V" shaped aligning walls do a much better job than this incredibly expensive device and at 1/10 the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐ it would be perfect for the 'long haul' *by J***K on December 12, 2014* I think of this item in the same light as an automobile which is not quite firing at TDC.
