Eventually the center head will clog up and stop.the whole thing from working. I stopped using with water and also started using every single day so the hair it cuts is just stubble. This has prolonged the life quite a bit. I'm on my second replacement head and already bought a 3rd. Decent value for the price.Okay BIG update. The center head DOES come off for cleaning. Just need to rotate counterclockwise a bit.
