The carrier is uniquely equipped with integrated dual strolling and jogging functionality, allowing for varied urban adventures right out of the box. Unlimited Possibilities Like all Chariot child carriers, the Chinook utilizes modular Chariot CTS (Child Transport System), which provides parents and caregivers, with a choice of how to maintain or embark on an active lifestyle, and bring their children along. The chassis of Chariot carriers can be combined with a variety of conversion kits, allowing for multiple outdoor activities, including: jogging, strolling, bike trailer, hiking and cross-country skiing (kits sold separately). Stroll or Jog With the Pivoting and Locking Front Wheel The Chinook's unique, integrated pivoting and locking front wheel allows users to use the carrier out of the box for both strolling and jogging. For stroller functionality, the wheel is lifted up into position from its folded position against the bottom of the carrier. Clicking it into place makes it the front, third wheel in the carrier's stroller configuration. The support structure of the wheel projects slightly forward from the carrier frame, and the wheel axle slightly from its forks. In stroller mode the wheel is free to spin 360-degrees, providing traditional stroller mobility. To transition to jogging stroller mode the wheel rotates until it projects forward, and locks into place. The forward direction of the wheel support, and the forward position of the wheel when locked into place spread the weight of the carrier, providing stability during jogging sessions. New Wings for Connecting Kits The Chinook features new side oriented wing structures for connecting conversion kits. They have a more streamlined look, but still have all the same easy-to-use slide and lock functionality. Integrated into the wings are mechanics preventing a bicycle trailer kit hitch arm from entering the wing when a car seat is placed on the carrier. Safety is Chariot's primary concern. Temperature and Visibility Control Temperature and airflow control inside the cockpit is managed through a combination of side window vents and the 2-in-1 weather cover. UV blocking tinted polyurethane windows at the sides can be zipped down to reveal mesh panels. An integrated central sun shade is also available for sun protection. Reclining Seat Position Reclining seat functionality adjusted from the exterior rear of the carrier, and an internal footmat are perfect for on-the-go naps.
