I was somewhat dubious that this hunk of plastic would clean up my Google home so nicely. I really didn't think I had either the patience or the dexterity to wrap the cord through the cable management track, the instructions helped a lot in guiding me through the steps. I haven’t tried the competition but each of the other ones I looked at seemed to have shortcomings - blocked mic switch, awkward cord management or difficult installation. This was perfect - exactly what I needed, easy to install the mini into and had wonderful cord management. It even has a slight cutout in the back for the outlet plate, so it really hugs the wall. My biggest concern was whether it would truly work with the mini mounted above the outlet but it did, quite securely. It also has a cutout so the mic switch is still accessible with the mini installed, which seems to be a common complaint about similar products.
