That amplified input is what will be heard be this VERY powerful (loud) speaker. **Q: Does this speaker have a built in amplifer? Or is this speaker rated to Handel 100w input? The listing is alittle unclear** A: I believe it is a 100w input. I am running mine off of an 80w box and it works fine. I would not run it on a box bigger than 100w. **Q: Can this be connected to a regular audio amp? I'm looking for something inexpensive for voice frequencies and NOT for music. I need a lot of volume.** A: I dont see why it couldn't. Its like any other speaker just connect to power source. It is loud though i wll give it that.
