**Q: Does this unit require cellular service or wifi to operate? What do they mean by wifi? I would use it in remote locations without cell service.**
A: No cell or wifi service is required. The device will work anywhere. By wifi, they mean that the Tpod acts as a wifi hub, so you can connect your phone or tablet to it in the same way you can connect to a "hotspot" at a coffee shop. The wifi connection is used between the Tpod and the phone to send data to your phone for the sonarphone display (so your phone or tablet is the fishfinder screen). What is cool about this is that you can have several people connected to it at once, so you can all have your own personal fishfinder screen on your phones.

**Q: Can this unit be used ice fishing**
A: The description plainly says it can be used for ice fishing applications.

**Q: Has anyone used this for lake fishing in muddy water?**
A: I havent used it in muddy water but i have used it in a lake with green blue water that,has no visibility and it worked.

**Q: will this item work with the latest android system??**
A: it should work on almost all android devices. you can download app from the google play and check that app is compatiable with your device. I have checked SGS3, Ipad, Lenovo phone.
