The next few weeks we will be studying the solar system. I wanted a small model for each student to make, but needed to do it on a budget. After much scouring of the web...mainly Pinterest of course...for ideas, I decided on a cardboard circle (I am using cardboard cake boards) painted black and then they will draw on the lines with white crayon and add on their planets....which is where the pompoms come in. They are the 'planets' What a delightful surprise to find that there are some in there that are 'swirly' looking and look just absolutely perfect for our project! Super delightful surprise. The colors are great and I absolutely love that it truly is a great assortment of sizes, colors, and such. My 5 year old son spotted the bag when it was delivered and was pleading with me to please let him open them and start using them immediately. They will make any project more fun for certain, I might have to bag another bag to keep at home...my son would certainly be beyond thrilled if I did.
