After getting no response from the seller and debating whether to just buy another compressor, I remembered seeing videos of guys just replacing the control valve. For $40 why not give it a try. Took me 15 minutes to replace it and have it ready to charge. Charged it and started blowing cold! One guy said that 95% of the time the control valve goes bad and the compressor still works so just replace the control valve. Thankfully Kia makes a car that you can just replace the control valve

A/C blows both cold and hot air no issues. Make sure you have it installed by a professional because you need to remove the freon, install, vacuum and re-gas, not really a DIY thing unless you have all the right tools.

Bought a "New" compressor on Ebay that didn't work. After getting no response from the seller and debating whether to just buy another compressor, I remembered seeing videos of guys just replacing the control valve. For $40 why not give it a try.
