The rolls purchased afterwards in the 1/2" width are 23' long and last quite a bit longer than the first roll will last, especially if you calculate in the misprints during the learning curve! **Q: Does it waste a lot of tape when printing? The "Brother PT1290" prints the label on a longer piece than necessary.** A: Yes! It definitely wastes a lot of label. It has a lead of 1/2 inch before and after each label, effectively wasting a full inch of blank label with every single print, and the labels look funny with all that extra white space, so you need to manually trim them down. Huge pain. **Q: Considering purchasing the DYMO 160 hand held & extra tape but what is the difference between tape and tape cassette (45013 & 45113) which do I buy?** A: This was the one I purchased and it works great....DYMO Labeling Tape, Β½" x 23', Black Print on White Tape (45013) D1 Label Cassette, Split Back Easy Peel Adhesive **Q: does it print 2 lines** A: Yes it will print 2 lines on the 1/2 in tape that comes with it.
