Of course you can't pin heavy denim with these, but for some things they are much better than pins. I recently made one of these: http://so-sew-easy.com/non-slip-sewing-machine-foot-pedal-pad/#_a5y_p=3748343 (thanks Mayra and Deby! These are great!) and the small wooden pins were perfect for holding together the rubbery non-slip shelf liner material. In a fit of ennui I colored the ends of the pins (colored pencils altho nail polish works well also, did all my big clothespins yes I waste time like a boss) so they're easier to find when they skitter away after hitting the beige tile floor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for Sewing *by M***I on Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2019* I use these to hold denim and canvas for sewing bags and wallets. I also use metal binder clips on areas where I need a secure hold or precision, but these are excellent for general things and bindings. Easy to grab, easy on and off. In hindsight I think I needed longer clothespins, but for it's size I expected the grip to be much weaker than it was.Durability: I used all of the clothespins and none of them had broken on me.
