    A little to big.

You have to be careful about this item, and check your scaffolding very carefully, mine did match the item numbers that this rake system was compatible with, but the rails were about a 1/8 of an inch too long and would not just drop right in.Not really sure why but it seemed like the weld where the end pipes are welded onto the kickboard, is not very tight. The weld is strong but you can see that the weld was why the rack did not just drop right on my scaffolding. The two pieces are about 1/16 of an inch away from each other and the weld is in-between them. The only contact is between the weld and the kick board, and the weld and the end rail pipe. If the two pieces were placed together then welded the rails would have fit on my scaffolding.I searched the item number on my buffalo tools pro series scaffold to find this rail system so I knew I had the right ones.I remedied this by grinding about 1/16 of an inch off each side of the end rails.Other than that I have had no problem with this system. They are not a one man set up though. Especially if you get up higher than 12 feet, but neither is the rest of the scaffolding. So that is not a real big issue. They come with the pins to secure it to the scaffold and are very well made. The box they were shipped in was a little beat up, but given the size I can't say as I am surprised by that. The two piece system locks together very well and are very sturdy. They are definitely easier to handle one at a time then in the box.Edit:I have the aluminum set versus the steel. I don't know if that makes a difference considering the display box these come in have my scaffolding listed. The company website does show an aluminum guard rail set so if you have the aluminum set of scaffold I would look into those before you just buy this product.

    Assembly required

*by K***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 3, 2014*

The product was not exactly as shown. The product picture indicates that the non-door (long) sides of the railing set are one piece. Apparently the manufacturer changed the design. Now you have to assemble the guard rail system. It is not complicated but the instructions could be better written. The box that the unit was shipped in, was fairly flimsy and did not survive the UPS shipping to me and the bag with the hardware had been lost in transport. The seller was great and immediately overnight shipped the replacement screws. The biggest issue was that I assembled the two sides on the ground, only to find out that they had screwed together to short, so the guard rail system did not fit into the scaffolding. I then had to reassemble the guard rail system while placed in the scaffolding. Luckily I had a platform from which I could reach the guardrail on top of the scaffolding. It took some work to get the guard rail to fit and screw together. Once the assembly was completed the unit has been working great. My only complaint is the assembly - the seller should have made it clear that assembly is required and the manufacturer should have taken better care of any manufacturing tolerances so that the unit would fit more easily.

Rails fit into platform, not vertical scaffold!

*by R***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 7, 2018*

At first I thought I didn't need this, but then I climbed up to the second level platform 12' above the ground at the top of a steep hill. The vertigo was enough to convince me of the need for this accessory. I only used the back rail which made it easier to lift into place, and gave me plenty of room to work on the house-side. It's also easier to access the platform from the ladder-side.I made the mistake many others did and assumed the rail goes on top of the vertical scaffold tube; it fits into the PLATFORM, not the scaffold. Save yourself a call to the manufacturer that some have made.....(they were very nice and helpful. I suggested their instructions could be clearer because there isn't a clear picture of how the safety rails fit into the welded boxes on the platform corners).
