The mechanism is protected with a tiny piece of circular black paper. I was trying to clean the inside of the case because it didn’t come protected so it was covered in finger marks. To my horror the little piece of paper was folded in half - which meant that the mechanism was rubbing against my phone. A cheap and nasty case - do not buy!!!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Built in support is useful but colour chips over time *by K***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 October 2019* I’ve had this for a while now so I feel like I can leave a knowledgable review. I love the fact that the back ring is built in so there is no chance of you dropping your phone from it falling off the case. However, I purchased the black one and over time the colour has chipped off in certain areas. Also I did realise that my phone gets easily dirty UNDER the case so dirt is getting in from somewhere, and I’m having to regularly take the phone out the case and clean it.
