Doesn't read the bar codes easily; takes several tries sometimes. Did NOT read all the types of barcodes I have. Older ones of an unknown type could not be read and not knowing what type they are, the scanner cannot be programmed to read them. If the computer I'm using goes into standby mode, the scanner does not operate when the computer awakens, so it has to be unplugged and replugged in to get it working again. The stand is great, no problems with it at all.
