Every time I see it I grab it up because they go very fast!My hair is fine (yet abundant...should be an oxymoron but it's not) and most hair accessories slide right out after a few hours. Barettes, bobby pins, hair pins...you name it, I've tried it. My hair holds nothing and will not stay in anything. This device holds everything in place, all day, maybe a little too well sometimes!I started perming my hair because I was tired of the fineness that won't hold style. About a year and a half ago, I was too impatient to wait for the Iso Option 2 perm and got another perm from Sally's. It fried me to a crisp and I had to cut off all my beautiful hair. We went almost bald in the back, and about an inch on top, that's how bad it was. So it's grown out quite a bit now, but my hair grows slow so it still won't go up in a pony or anything like that. This thing is a lifesaver when it comes to keeping the front of my hair out of my face with the help of a normal comb to hold a baby twist in the back to keep it off my collar while I'm at work (Security job, military style bun required but not possible yet).I've been raving about them for years to my sister and she finally said she wants one. I went to two different Walmarts looking for one and they did not have them. This thing is great! If I'm going to be doing high activity, I'll put my hair in a pony tail with an elastic and then use this to make a bun. Just this alone will hold my hair all day though.I have medium thickness, but I have a lot of hair, and its naturally a little curly. Photo shown is usually when I'd opt to put it up.I gather my hair to a mid height pony and pull my hair through the center, but only far enough to create a little bun. Then I secure the clips on either side so its tight. Next, I take the hair that is down and split it into two sections, fishing each section through the center of the bun, crossing each other within the bun. (I use my index finger and thumb to reach through the bun to grab the hair). Once that's through, I take the ends from each side and wrap them to the top, securing the ends under the elastic. Then I go through the bun, tucking in loose hairs under the elastic until it feels secure and I like the look. To finish, I pull the hair around my face to create some volume. I personally prefer the black to the brown but that’s strictly due to my hair color.
