In fact *by E***G on January 7, 2016* We have been using these for a couple of years now at a very busy movie theatre at the ticket windows. We used to use the very expensive Norcon intercom systems that most theatres use, but they also break down and are very expensive to fix.While these are simple units, and they do break down, and yes they are mostly plastic, they do a great job. In fact, the only thing that seems to break on them is the cord to the speaker/microphone to the guest. If you expect them to last 5 years, look elsewhere. If you, like me, are looking for something that works for a good 6-8 months with extremely heavy use, these may work for you. For me, it all depends upon the employees using them. Some treat them better than others. Remember, it is a primarily plastic unit that works great unless the employees like to beat on them. Having said that, I have ordered several of them, (about 8) and in the 2 years I have been using them I have replaced 3 of them. But at $40 each, they have completely surpassed any expectation that I could give them.5 stars and 2 thumbs up! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the price you cant beat it *by A***J on November 15, 2013* Good intercom system for the money. The only issue I have with it is the mic is not very long at all, so if the volume isnt all the way up and your sitting back on your chair trying to talk in it your going to have a hard time. You need to be atleast 5-10 inches away from the mic in order for it to pick up your voice with no break up. But it picks up very clearly whoever talks on either mic. Like I said for the price you cant beat it, but its not the best. Hopefully this company will improve on this product and add a wind shield to it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So great! *by D***Y on March 16, 2021* I bought two of these for the front desk at the drs office I work for. Due to covid, a plexiglass divider was put up and it was very hard to hear through. We were able to cut holes just big enough to fit the speakers and the clarity of them is great.
