In order for the Domotz box not to rely on any other equipment in case of failures, it has its own power supply." How would offering POE prevent a failure? If the switch that the device is plugged into failed, would it matter if it was POE or not? The device would still fail to access the network. They work fantastic. Great diagnostic data and also the ability to remote into the box and get on to the network. Giancarlo Fanelli from Domotz is extremely knowledgeable and is always quick to respond to my technical questions. I highly recommend the Domotz product and service. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple, works, great for small business network environments *by J***R on June 29, 2020* I have purchased 4 of these and will purchase a 5th. The box itself is simple, has all adapters for foreign plugs, and works. Do your research, you still need to pay $19 per site (box) per month to use the software. I won't say much about the software since this review is about the Domotz box itself other than it is extremely capable and ever-evolving. The boxes are used for monitoring and documenting over 400 active devices, and 600 total, topologies, etc.The only thing that would make the box better for the cost is if they were PoE. No need to have a separate power cord with a micro USB plug.
