I live in Fairbanks AK and the temperature reached -55 below throughout this winter. Although I have my wheeler covered it sits outside. The stereo perfprmed flawlessly all year long and continues to work great. I do have a windshield on my 4 wheeler that helps with the volume when traveling at higher speeds. No problem hearing. I use my 4 wheeler for gold panning and go to some pretty remote places. The radio antenna works fine in most areas. when it doesn't I plug in my ipod. I have been very happy with the purchase. Oh, I bought the Gen2 model. Looks nice.
