**Q: I bought a house with a hive in and it doesn’t have a hub does this mean I can’t connect it to my phone?**
A: Yes!
I had the same issue . I bought the Hub from Amazon and connected it. It works well now and all appliances are connected to the hub.

**Q: I own hive system thermo/hub/reciever, on combi. if i move home i read i have to take the hub. is it difficult for new house owner to install new hub?**
A: Hello, the Hive hub we have was here when we moved. It was very easy to operate. Sorry can’t be any more helpful.

**Q: I recently set up mesh wifi so have deco pods around the house. Can I plug the hub in to any of them?**
A: No. I’ve tried. It’ll work for a bit then stop.  It has to be directly into router.

You need this for your Hive Heating if you want to use the Hive app on your mobile while your out and about. Also you will need this hub to use some of the phone app features like geolocation etc. Very easy to install and set up. Just plug it in the back of your router (WiFi box).Definitely worth the money this helps you to save money when your out or away on holiday.
