## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Photo for size compassion (from left to right) Streamlight Nano, The Nightcore EC11, Cree Ulta Fire, & Stream Protac-2L

*by R***E on May 2, 2015*

First impressions. Just received this little beauty. It's tiny, rugged and a beast ! It's so bright it's blinding. First the size is amazing. If you took advantage of the very inexpensive Cree flashlight offered on Amazon like me, it's about a half inch shorter! Love my little Cree, got a good one luckily, but at the supposed 300 lumens, lol...it's s night light compared to the Nightcore! So onto brightness, like many of you I would bet, I did my You Tube review homework before investing the sixty plus bucks on a teeny tiny flashlight. But that is what I want for my EDC for sure. A luxury really. So, not being in anyway an expert, I have to rely on the reviewers with the fancy testing equipment. But my impression is the last time I saw a light this bright was in spotlight form with one of those big car plug in models, lol. Testing it in the dark, it has a wide spot, so you can see so much in the viewing area. Compared to my old faithful, the Streamlight Pro Tac-2L, which has a limited point of spot concentration area and then fades lighter, it's just amazing ! Blows it away! In my basement, anything white, like a white label on the shipping box just popped out, like 3D and I could read things so easily. Onto light tone....it's similar to the Streamlight Pro Tac, and not blue like the Cree, or faded like most old flashlights. It's bright and high white I guess you could say. For people with bad eyesight, this is a blessing. Other things I like, it's stands on its bottom for a lantern type feature, the clip is reversible, you can use it as a headlamp easily, and it's light, lighter then the Cree. Has a neat little holster that can be put on a carabiner or it has Velcro on the back to attach to a belt and comes with a nice lanyard, not cheap rope. The control switch is on the side, very small flat switches with rubber of course on top. Not easy to find! I have to remember it's opposite where I positioned the clip so my thumb rests on it. It will take some getting used to, but hopefully it's no big deal in a panic. The modes work perfectly, click consistently and smoothly. I have small hands and use my thumb nail. People with big hands, or poor dexterity would have an issue, unless they used literally a thumb nail. Strobe is great as you simply hold down the mode button when in operation and I love how the red comes on when you hit the mode button automaticaly, no fuss...and has the SOS feature. So many options...I LOVE having the brightness options. This will surely save on batteries. The moonlight is just enough to read, far less bright then a Streamlight Nano for instance. Now the big question, battery life. I just can not say at this point. I know the Cree eats through batteries even though I invested in the very expensive PowerEx 2700 rechargeable. I got this unit with the special pack of one 18350 battery and the recharging pack so hopefully this works.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unbelievable light in something not much bigger than a roll of life-savors....

*by G***R on April 22, 2015*

This is a very nice little flashlight, fits nicely in my pocket, is unbelievably bright. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the cable that came with the battery charger was a standard USB to Micro USB cable, in order to use the power brick that came with the battery charger, it needed to be standard USB to standard USB, so I'll have to buy a cable. Minor gripe. I've only been playing for 1 day with it, but I've already made this my everyday carry light and attached it to my key chain. The head of the flashlight does grow noticeably warm when you leave it on turbo mode. The other 4 modes seem to be nicely spaced in their brightness. The battery charger came with power "bricks" for both car and wall plug use, but as I mentioned, I'll have to go buy the correct cable. The red light is just bright enough to use with dark-adjusted eyes to find something on the ground or read a map or adjust your telescope, so big plus there. Several of my engineer friends are putting this little thing on their wish list. If it holds up well for me over the next 2-3 months, I'm getting 2 more to keep in my glove boxes as emergency lights.---Update, got an email from the company who sold it, turns out the cable sent *can* be used to recharge it, I missed the micro connector on the back of the battery charger. My bad. Changed to 5 stars.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WOW!!!

*by M***E on July 28, 2015*

WOW! This thing puts out a LOT of light on the highest setting!!! It uses a special battery, the type used in e-cigs I think. I haven't been to the local battery store to see if they're rechargable (no charger included) and I haven't tried it with a normal CR123 battery, which supposedly puts out less light than the one included. In any case, this is one terrific flashlight. It's small and the 6 levels of light are all you'd ever need. There are 5 levels of white light and a red LED, which is great if I have to use it at night when my wife is asleep. The only complaint I have (and it's not enough to offset the 5-stars) is that the on-off button is very small. Whaddaya expect with a small flashlight? To turn on the red LED you push the button's front. If you push the the button's back the white light comes on at whatever the last setting was, then push the button's front to adjust the light level. If you want to turn on the red LED, accidentally push the button back and it was set on Turbo, you'll burn your eye out!
