It sprays in a fan shape, a little wider than I'd prefer but since my main use is on large bowls of popcorn it's no big deal. The spray might be a bit wide to coat very small baking pans but should be fine for regular size pans. It hasn't clogged yet as others have mentioned. It's very ergonomic to hold, it feels nice in the hand. It comes with rubber band type labels with various oils in case you want to have a few of these. One thing I really like is the included funnel, which is small but screws right onto the bottle, so it doesn't wobble all over the place while you're refilling it. That turned out to be a surprisingly handy feature for me, it makes refilling easy and neat. The oil doesn't leak out of the sprayer and run down the bottle either, which it tends to do with my drizzle bottle. I also like that I don't need to pump it each time I use it - to me that just means one less thing to go wrong. So far no complaints at all. It was worth every penny, especially now that I'm using much less olive oil on my nightly popcorn! **UPDATE August 26 2015** I have discovered I can't live without this thing, it's my go-to kitchen gadget. I use it for far more than the popcorn I mentioned in my original review above, I use it to coat baking pans, frying pans, everything. I'd say I use it every day for one thing or another. The other day I foolishly left it too close to a hot pan and burned a hole in the bottle, I was furious. These aren't cheap, but I knew I had to replace it immediately, so I ordered another and just the 2 day wait for Prime delivery was torture. The new one is here now and life is good again. Does this have any protections / warrenty concerning this issue?** A: If I had to guess those that are experiencing clogs may not be using true olive oil. The olive oil business can be a bit sketchy. If you have trustworthy Olive oil brand you probably don't have anything to worry about. That may be why some have problems right away while others have been using it for years with no problems. **Q: Can it be cleaned? Seems to plug at random..** A: I have not encountered that problem. My EVO's work every time. Are you sure the sprayer is set to spray not off. There are 2 spray positions & 2 off positions. As for cleaning, if you are using it for oil a drop or 2 of dawn & very warm water. Shake it up and spray it to break up any buildup in the sprayer. Then rinse the container thoroughly with cold water, then partially fill with cold water and spray the water until all the soap residue is expressed from the nozzle. **Q: Can I use it with vinegar?** A: Absolutely. One of our favorite ways to use the EVO is for spraying balsamic vinegar onto salads and other foods. **Q: Does the bottle or handle leak when you spray?** A: No it has not leaked and I have really liked it. I have used mine for five years and now need to replace it. The top was designed so that it was difficult to use all of the oil in the bottle before having to refill it. It also was messy at the spray mechanism. If you want something more than adequate, you may want to buy something else.
