**Q: I have one that stays together when you dump off the empty roll and one that falls apart, the spring shooting out. Why is this a stupid question?**
A: No this stays together.

**Q: Are any of these toilet spool spindles shorter?  Mine is for a 1945 house old toilet holder. It is about 5 3/4" long.**
A: It's spring loaded, variable length. Check the product photos. The one I ordered is shown as variable between 4" and 6" long. It works fine in a ceramic holder in my 1960 house.

**Q: Does this fit original 1959 ceramic builtin holder?**
A: Yes it works great on mine.

**Q: Can it minimize smaller**
A: The roller is 6 ½ inches in full length and 4 ¼ inches when its fully compressed.
