TW: dementia, death of a loved oneRep: Queer, PansexualThis was such a fun read and I was swooning over Hazel and Mari! This is an important story because every LGBTQ+ coming out story is different and many come out later in life. The illustrations were STUNNING and seeing a Black woman with a darker skin tone is very important because they are often overlooked due to colorism.I really enjoyed Hazel & Mari's story & I was not expecting that ending :/

I read the first edition, and tried to hold out to read this expanded edition before valentine's day, but I could not wait. I read it all in one setting. This book expands a bit more on some details not covered in the first book, such as Hazel's husband and paints a bit more into Marie's backstory. I do wish to read a bit more about Marie, because her life is not covered nearly as much as Hazel's. Overall, this is a great edition, and a must read, for fan's of the first edition.

If One is deciding between the original or this copy , get this as it has the bonus material that is worth it.  The one thing I hope to see is one of the two main characters, Hazels husband what happens after to him...does he get what he deserves? That is all the further to avoid spoilers.
