The finish looks great, and the added detail of the red plastic trim piece not only looks cool, but should protect your strap. I ordered from MotorMic because they had excellent presentation and descriptions of their product and an excellent website. It shows the seller put a lot of thought into their marketing. I received the hitch quickly, even without Prime, but it was missing the hitch pin and keeper pin. I contacted the seller thru Amazon, received a prompt, courteous reply, and received the missing items within (2) days. Very impressive!! The hitch is machined from SOLID steel and has a heavy protective coating on all parts. I will use zip ties to ensure the red shackle protector does not fall off. I do like the shackle pin keeper snap ring - A nice inclusion. Yes, everything is MADE IN China, but at least they don't allude to made in USA in their name, as many others like to do, to deceive the buyer.
