But under the heading of "Dog" it has the words for different breeds of dogs, the skeletal structure of a dog, the words for the names of the bones in a dog, the organs of a dog, etc. If you look up the word for "airplane" this visual dictionary has the words in English and Spanish, plus images of various types of airplanes; prop planes, jet planes, biplanes, commercial airliners, etc., plus an image and translation of the cockpit, the 1st class cabin, the economy class cabin, the wings, the tail, the nose, the engine, and then the various components of the engine, as well. Plants, kitchen appliances, astronomy, tractors, whatever, it has exact vocabulary with explicitly detailed information. It is very well done, and he's told all of classmate friends about it. There is a spot-on review by a member named Shawn, so I will suggest you read that review dated September 9, 2013. I will add that the product description indicates this book is a paperback, but it is not. It actually has a sturdy cover, although the cover is not nearly as thick as the typical hard bound book. For me this is is very preferable, keeping the dictionary on the lighter side, yet more durable than a paperback. It is also impressive that the pages of this book are sewn to the binding, not just glued... very good quality. The full-color illustrations are very clear and are presented with a practical and appealing layout. The wide variety of themes are nicely organized with color coded sections that can be seen even when the book is closed, helping you to turn to a desired section quickly.
