The photos are beautiful, the storyline is full of accurate, interesting, scientific facts about the creatures, and has a vocabulary building review at the back of the book. And each book in this series has several upside down jokes that reference the animal, an added point of interest for Montessori and all children. BTW, I have gotten more than 30 of these books for my classroom. Highly recommended!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inspires Reading

The best series ever for young readers. It is very hard to find books for young readers that are based on the natural world. The photos are beautiful, the storyline is full of accurate, interesting, scientific facts about the creatures, and has a vocabulary building review at the back of the book. And each book in this series has several upside down jokes that reference the animal, an added point of interest for Montessori and all children. BTW, I have gotten more than 30 of these books for my classroom. Highly recommended!

I bought this as a gift, although I did read it before wrapping. For the price, this is an excellent book, with great facts and photos. I am happy with the purchase.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun read for kids

Excellent book. My kindergartener needs to become a lion expert for her upcoming trip to the zoo. The facts are simple and easily remembered against a backdrop of beautiful shots of lions in the wild. There are jokes interspersed which are lion related. At the end of the book is a little picture quiz to help the kids remember lion-themed vocabulary. The one critique is that I don't think this is a level one reader. Kindergarteners will have a tough time reading this book on their own due to its length and vocabulary. It's more likely for a first grader. Even still, I highly recommend it!
