The base is very heavy and overall construction is superb. The arm extend enough for me too so I can play guitar and sing free of obstruction. There are two slight niggles (but not enough to deduct a star). It would be nice of you could swivel the stand, since I put mine to the side when out of use. When it's rotated, it's literally UNSCREWING. Now, it doesn't come off, it just gives a wobble. When I swing it into position for use, it tightens and becomes fully stable. Lastly, the smallest cable clip is made of a different, less flexible plastic than the rest. Upon removing, it immediately smashed. I'm using a velcro fastener instead, but this is a note to the manufacturers would they read.
