With a boost button for emergency starts and robust construction, this kit is designed to enhance your off-road experience. ## Description The Genesis dual battery kit is designed to give you additional battery capacity and run time, while protecting your cranking battery from being drained by your accessories. The smart isolator connects the batteries together when the cranking battery is above 13.2v for 2 minutes so that the second battery can be charged by your alternator. Once the batteries drain down to 12.7v, the smart isolator separates the batteries. All the aftermarket accessories that are connected to the power and ground bus bars will continue to run from the second battery only, saving the cranking battery for starting the engine. Any high-amp accessories such as a winch or stereo amplifier will attach to the center stud on the bus bar. All low-amp accessories such as LED lights attach to any of the 8 small screw terminals. This gives you a convenient way to keep your wiring organized. If the cranking battery ever gets too low to start the engine, you can press the boost button to jump start yourself from the second battery. Detailed installation instructions can be downloaded from the Genesis Offroad website, or watch our install video on our YouTube channel. Group 34 size batteries are required. Any brand of battery, including Optima and Odyssey, will fit our tray. The OEM battery will not fit. Genesis Offroad also makes the G Screen Monitoring System, sold separately, which plugs into a port on the battery kit for easy installation. The G Screen is a 1” LCD screen that shows the voltage of each battery, the status of the isolator (batteries connected or disconnected), and gives you an in-cab boost switch.
