**Q: What are the active ingredients?  Is this Chlorine Dioxide with a flocculant?**
A: "The Chlor-Floc (CF) tablets combine sodium dichloro-isocyanurate, the active ingredient, with proprietary flocculating agents that clarify the treated water by coagulating particles in the water as the water is being disinfected. The heavy coagulated particles settle out, leaving the water above the sediment clear. 1.4% chlorine is released from a 600 mg packet.When dissolved in water, the active ingredient in Chlor-Floc dissociates to hypochlorous acid and chloride ions depending on the final pH of the water. The tablet also contains a buffering system which buffers the treated waters to a pH that is most optimal to achieve disinfection of the water. Chlor-Floc may provide improved water purification over a broad range of pH and temperature, and may not suffer from interferences by organic chemical demand in field water supplies.

A: Packets of powder, which I found worked great because the cold sediment flood water here, I noticed the tablets of any kind take well over. Half hour just to dissolve. These things really do show results within 10 mins

These things are awesome!!!! I took these with me on my last camping trip and I had two spare bottles about a quart each I think that I would use for treated water while using these packs. I am completely amazed with these things. The only thing I wish is that they came in some sort of water tight container but a ziplock bag will do the job nicely. They were able to clear some pretty green water in no time at all and the taste was good, there isn't a strong chemical flavor to it, but if there was just leave it in direct sunlight for a few hours and you are good to go. I would recommend these to anyone going camping or hiking.

Easily used, I would keep them in a bin with low humidity and nothing lower than normal just saying normal humidity and I’m sure the last a while and hopefully you’ll never have to use them but in case of an emergency perfect.

Good product, does the job it was intended to do. Kinda nasty tasting. I would not want to rely on this for more than a couple days - you can get sick doing that. Know how and when to sue these and also when to quit using them! Carry pouch is a nice bonus too.
