I did read a review where somebody noted that the connectors are plastic (could have been here or for the other Elite Core 3-Pin to 5-Pin converter or the Elite Core terminator pack). Not true. The connectors are metal and great quality. There is indeed a screw on cap which the cable passes through into the connector and that is made of plastic yes. Yes i was using mike cables for several years and realy didnt have any issues. I am now doing bigger venues and longer runs. So i went with a 500 foot roll of DMX cable and resoldered all the neutrik ends on them. But then i still needed some more cables at different lenghts. I found these at a price that seemed good and time was a factor. I recieved them quick and looked at them good and was impressed.
