This was my first attempt at a repair on a Benz, so it took a little longer than I expected. Nevertheless the part fit well, and I was pleased ot know that with the rubberinzed gasket (as opposed to paper) it didn't require a gasket sealant. God rid of check engine light and engine quickly warms to normal operating temperature - vitally important for this cold winter.I would highly recommend this thermostat; just hope it lasts longer than the 68K miles on the original. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the identical OEM part, just without the MB star. *by S***K on January 25, 2016* Part was identical to the OE Wahler that was beginning to fail. The only difference is this part has a dimple exactly where the Mercedes star was on the factory original part. Installation was straightforward. My temperature gauge reads a steady 90*C. My climate control now works properly again. This was an excellent alternative to buying from the Mercedes dealer and at $76.00, it was about half price. Really, what's not to like about paying half for the same part? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do your research on parts and repair procedures *by D***R on February 16, 2015* Do your research on the auto parts sites! I found repair videos on YouTube that helped build confidence in parts and repairing. I had choices where to buy the thermostat part for my Mercedes GLK350, and believed Amazon was the least risky. Having pulled out the old MB thermostat, and replaced with the new that was a near identical, I saved the dealer difference in costs. (you need all the right tool bits) The dash warning engine light did not go off until 200 miles later.
