I read the reveiws and thought these would help with the burning sensation in my feet. Well, they do provide some relief, but only for a very short while. It suggests you not wear the socks for more than 20 minutes at a time. No worries bc the gel packs don't stay cool for 20 minutes, maybe ten minutes at best. The gel packs are thin and don't have much gel in them. Maybe if they contained more gel, perhaps they could stay cool a little longer. I will continue to use it until I can find something better. They are filled with gel packets for the top and bottom of feet that you can refrigerate or freeze and then slip into the area where you have pain. This is so much easier than a bag of ice...the gel packets stay put and exactly where you need them. I use them because I have pain in the balls of my feet and heels. I also have pain in my toe joints. I simply keep the socks and gel packets in the refrigerator so the socks are always ready to use.
