I tried a few other "universal" 7-10" tablet mounts only to discover that my tablet was too small to fit the "universal" mount.Then I saw that this little gem could hold devices that had 4-11" displays. I gave it a try and, initially I was disappointed, but then realized that if I flipped the tablet, this would work perfectly...and it did. Unfortunately, the grips go over the power and headphone ports, but I was able to lift the tablet enough to make the power port accessible while the tablet is in the holders.I had a little trouble installing this on the headrest, as I put one of the 2 included rubber grips inside the clamp before putting it on the headrest. Due to that, I don't really see a need to take it on and off...just leave it on and take the tablet inside when you're not on long trips. As for my little guy, he LOVED that he could watch some shows while on the long drive to Grandma's! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Holds ipad in place and doesn't get in way. *by D***J on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 19, 2015* It works well. It keeps the ipad in place and is small and compact, so even when not in use, it doesn't stick out and get in the way. The only difficult thing is pushing the lever to secure it to the pole. You have to have some strong fingers to push it so that it locks. I don't think I want to take it off because of that part. I also wish it had an extention feature. Right now you have to lean forward (for kids) to press whatever button needs pressing. I'd rather they don't move for that part. Otherwise, it's a durable holder for ipad. Fits iPad2, iPad Air and I phone 6 that we us it with. One iPad doesn't fit because off kids carry case but that's due to the weight of the protective kids casing not a fault of the product.
