I cut about 1/4 around from the outer edge and roll that into a log to lay in a skin crease to prevent leaks from that crease. I prefer the slimmer ones as I was squashing the originals about this thickness anyway. These feel a little grainy and the reason is because they have stoma powder or karaya powder embedded inside which helps them manage moisture from the stoma which has constant mucus leakage. I have tried what I believe to be every other ring on the market and none have had the same amount of stick as these. I’ve been doing ostomy care for almost 2 decades and I’ve been an ostomate for one decade.
