My vac pump died, after a few cheap plastic siphon pumps (which failed quickly) I was ready for quality again. It's a well designed and quality device, I was able to transfer fuel, easily, from two different cars. With a plastic gas can, on the floor, It siphoned 1 gal every 4 min for me. Not super fast, but quite acceptable. The bulb pump feels like it is quality made and the suction came quickly. It has an inline fuel filter (a nice touch) and comes with a few accessories that make getting to the fuel easier. For example, the yellow funnel looking thing holds open the flapper cover on my mid 90's vehicle so it does not pinch the line. Long story short: it is well thought out and seem to come with all you need. I really wish I had done myself a favor and bought this sooner. I will give another update later on to see how well the fuel lines hold up to the gasoline, once I have about 6 months of use on it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Quality product made 2 improvements. *by P***A on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2016* Works great. I put a towel on my trunk lid. Set a 5 gallon gas can there. Feed the line through the funnel into the gas filler and drop the hose into the gas can. The primer works great to start flow.To improve it I made 2 changes: I put a brass fitting on the end that goes in the gas can to weigh it down to sink to the bottom of the can. I put hose clamps on the hose to both side of the filter to keep it from slipping off. Other than that it's made from first rate parts and is a quality product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars While a tad slow, it does work. *by G***G on Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2016* My GasTapper Gravity Model arrived last week and I got to use it yesterday for the first time. I needed to drain a fuel tank on a 1980's car for repair.The instructions may not be perfect, but after reading them and understanding how it's supposed to work I was able to get things going.For Cars.1) The smaller in diameter of the two white pvc tubes goes into the tank after you remove the cap and put in the supplied Yellow Funnel. In my case it didn't matter if I put the barbed end or not.2) Push that small White PVC tube down till you can't anymore, then use a combination of twisting and pushing to get it over the obstruction.3) Blow into the line and listen for bubbles, that will tell you when you've hit the fluid in the tank.4) If your not getting any where with just the small PVC tube, back it out and insert the larger White PVC Tube into the Filler Neck until it stops. Back it out a tab, then run the smaller White PVC Tube inside the larger one, working it as mentioned before.5) Once you've hit the fluid in the tank insert the Small White PVC Tube into the Yellow hose attached to the Pump apparatus. Look at the Blub/Pump. It has an arrow stamped on it. That's the direction of fluid flow. The Yellow hose w/the metal coils wrapped around it goes into the receptacle and the other side is where you put the PVC tube.6) Close the White Clamp on the Yellow hose, drop the Blub/Pump below the fuel source and start squeezing the pump. When gas starts to flow open up the white clamp.All that being said, while the device does work, as others have mentioned it's quite slow. It took well over an hour to drain 5 gallons of gas. I would imagine that has to do with the small diameter, .25", of the tube placed inside of the tank. Just not going to get much volume flowing through anything that small.I suppose of you didn't need to use the small PVC tube and could just drop the end of the Yellow hose into the receptacle your trying to drain the flow rate would be much higher.I'm still giving the product 5 stars for innovation and the fact it does do what I got it for, removing fuel from the Car's tank.I have one of those "jiggler" siphons for other purposes like filling and removing Kerosene from heaters.
