Aching Arches
I picked these for Zumba class based on good reviews (reviews suggested a shoe with little/no tread/not a running shoe). They look cool, but just don't provide enough support for my feet (regular arch, narrow foot, no other foot/ankle issues). I was loving Zumba but had to stop often because my arches were burning and cramping. The insole provides very little cusion so I tried putting insoles in. I also tried tying my laces tighter to prevent my narrow foot from moving too much. I continued wearing for several weeks thinking I needed to just 'break them in'.Nothing helped. Finally I asked my Zumba instructor and she suggested getting Nike Free Runs (She owns several pairs). Ironically she suggested running sneakers which I thought you weren't supposed to use for Zumba. She had never heard such a thing. She also shared a great money saving tip. I purchased a paif of youth Free Runs in a size 5 (I wear a women's 6) and ended up paying about half the price of the adult verison! The youth sizes also come in fun "Zumba'ish" colors! I'll wear the Asics for just hanging around or doing errands but never again in the gym.

Great shoe just inspect what you get...
I first ordered these in my usual general shoe size - 8 1/2 - and they fit perfectly, looked great, were comfy, and generally wonderful. However, I have just started training for a half marathon and friends were warning me to purchase a shoe size larger than my usual. Somewhat skeptical I returned the 8.5 and ordered a 9. When I got them I was really excited until I put them on.One shoe was perfect and all the things the previous pair was, but the other was made wrong. It fit somewhat like it was on the wrong foot. The line of the shoe laces typically point to the end of the shoe in a straight line, but the left shoe's laces were angled more towards the right.I am returning these as well and ordering the ASICS Blur instead. Make sure both shoes are right before you cut the tag off and toss the box!

great for zumba...
I was looking for ASICS (because they accomodate my foot well) that had white soles and would provide support with out turning my light colored carpet black from doing Zumba in my living room...as my other ASICS were doing this because they have black soles. These actually have llight blue & after 4 times don't appear to be discoloring the carpet! Most importantly, I find they are perfect for much of the quick steps involved in the Zumba Core numbers. The bottom of the shoes/soles are smaller than the upper part of traditional shoes I have worn, so at first I felt my foot was sort-of "pouring out" over the soles. With the addition of some gel inserts to add a tad bit of cushioning and girth to the width under my foot, they are working perfectly. The size is accurate for my foot. YAY!

Pleasantly suprised
I'm very picky re my footware & ordering shoes online rarely works for me. These, however, have proven to be worth the gamble. True to size & generous in width, which I need, they are lightweight w/ appropriate sole traction. I use them exclusively for Zumba. The first day I jumped into a 2 hour class & was left unscathed. I liked the sole better for "dancing", but the lighter weight means way less cushioning, so I'd not be inclined to use them outside of that application. I've only worn them 4 times thus far, so I have no feedback on durability. I chose the silver/black only b/c of the price point. They're not my favorite color, but they ended up being more subtle than I anticipated, hence less garrish & shiney - phew! Good shoe. Great price.

Great price, alright shoe
These are fine shoes for a few hours a week doing Zumba. They don't have very high arches, & I know my feet are strengthening from using them. I can turn easier in them & move a bit better. They do take some getting used to however. I feel like the sole of the shoe isn't either at the right angle or the right location for my heels. When I get to a certain point turning sometimes my ankle rolls from the heel not being under it. I've never had problems with my ankles or strength in my feet or legs. Other than doing this one move maybe twice each class, I love the shoes. They were a super price, are a very nice low key color and overall get the job done, even though I do wish they would slightly redesign them.

A bit small
I love Asics and have owned more pairs than I can count. I was looking for a pair of shoes for Zumba and ordered the Gel-Rhythmics. I was a bit disappointed in this style. I have always worn a size 9 so that is what I ordered. I have normal arches and a medium width foot. When I tried on the shoes they were way to small. My foot barely fit in the shoe. Sorry I can't give a description on how they were to work out it, I couldn't even get that far! I'm not saying they are a bad shoe to work out in, I would just get a 1/2 a size or even a full size larger than you normally wear if you are looking to try this shoe.

Love these for Zumba
I was looking at these shoes for a while having owned a few pairs of Asics but read some reviews that were not favorable, and chose to buy Ryka Studio D based on good reviews for those. Well I should have gone with my first impression and bought the Asics first. they are great Zumba shoes and every Asics I have ever owned has fit me perfectly and felt broken in from day one. I need a wider toe box and Asics seems to make all of their shoes with a wider toebox and they fit perfectly. Spins, jumps and slides felt controlled and the gel seemed to absorb a lot of the shocks. Way better looking, fitting and performing shoe than the Rykas which ran large and seemd to have no arch support or any "shape" to them. If you have worn Asics before and liked them, I think you would love these shoes for Zumba.

Asics Addict
I walk/jog 25-30 miles a week and wear nothing but ASICS. Have been a huge fan for many, many years. I recently decided to try Zumba so I ordered these.Pros: Look is amazing and they have worked very well for Zumba - both at the gym and on carpet at home.Cons: Runs small. If you are one to order your exact fit - go up at least a half size. While these are great for Zumba in the gym or on carpet at home, they are not meant for the jogging trail or treadmill. The sole is too stiff and insole needs more arch support.
