Review: Great unit, priced right, easy install - Really happy with this unit. Install was pretty easy for a newbie in my son's 2019 Kia Optima, sound is amazing. Once we got the settings dialed in, it has some real punch. Cabinet quality is solid, looks all quality. Highly recommend!
Review: Punch 👊 three decades removed - This is worthy of the punch name. Takes me back to my old bronco with a ridiculous bandpass wasting gas all the summers of my youth. Easy install in the civic hatch fits like a glove. 8 GA is plenty for this, but I'm having trouble believing it. I've watched for my lights to dim but no issues. My rear view mirror is loosened and pointing down in less than a week. I have sound deadening everywhere and a fancy line out converter, which definitely help with modern signal problems. If you get a good signal to this box you won't be disappointed. Like other reviewers, I have my gain set at 0, xover at 55 hz, and never more than 50% bass boost. Class d really makes a difference over my old AB stuff, civic has tiny battery and alternator but can run this and more. I installed everything myself in an afternoon and have had no issues. I hooked it up the old school way, remote wire off the accessory fuse. I use remote wire for everything. Cant speak to any of the auto turn on features. My wife has come to get me late out of the garage three times this week. I just can't stop listening. So happy we still have Rockford. Fanatic for life. Now on to components and an ear destroying amp.

**Q: Can I use this one on my factory system in 2013 camry without any extra stuff, also can I install it myself?**
A: You’ll need to buy a wiring kit to run the power from the battery to the sub, and to ground the unit. As for installation, YouTube should help: you need to remove the radio from the dash, splice into the rear speaker wires, and run the speaker wires back to the sub. For the power to the sub, you need to run that wire through the firewall, you should find a rubber grommet already in the firewall somewhere. You’ll likely find details searching your car and model year for sub installs on YouTube, they’ll show how to remove the radio and in most cases where they ran the power wire.

**Q: Which rockford fosgate series subwoofer is used for the p500-12p?**
A: After reviewing all of the relevant RF specs, the only logical conclusion is it contains the Punch 500W mono amp running at 500W x 1 Ohm thru a 600W P3D2-12 with the dual voice coils wired in parallel mode to 1 Ohm. The P2 is limited to 400W RMS. The P1 is limited to 250W RMS and only comes in SVC 2-4 Ohm options, so no single sub 1 ohm configuration like the DVC P2 and P3). Maybe they use P3's that didn't pass the 600W test, so can sell them in a  500W kit.  You can't beat a Punch 500W mono amp (~$239 list) + Punch 600W P3 12" (~$160 list) in an enclosure with connection panel for $369 total. That's probably why RF doesn't publish the amp and sub model #s, they don't want to undercut the pricing of their discrete unit's selling price.

**Q: We’re can I just find the wiring for this box?, unfortunately my dog got a hold of it and chewed it up!**
A: I would try and contact Rockford customer service and see if they offer the wiring kit separately. Google the phone number.

**Q: What gauge power wire is recommended?**
A: Rockford recommends an 8 gauge wiring kit.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic sub for stock audio systems

This sub packs a punch. It adds great depth and bass for your casual listening. And don’t worry about bothering the neighbors, you can turn the subs volume down with the bass knob, but the bass is also contained within the vehicle. The car will shake and rattle but there’s other ways to fix that. Over all I LOVE this sub. Great for the price as well
