When the bednet is properly set up and insulated with a groundsheet, it works perfectly. However, the slightest movement of the canopy can create a gap - and once the radiation gets inside that gap it ricochets round the inside and the level of radiation shoots up to intolerable levels.Radiation is not like sunlight, that is easily deflected by a shade... it is omni-present and for proper protection you have to be completely sealed in.If you have pets or children, or if you are a restless sleeper, you are constantly having to check the net to make sure that is is properly sealed. Unfortunately, I own cats, who like to sleep on my bed and who like to come and go during the night. This required a night full of constant testing and adjustment.The best solution for me, therefore, is to build a frame and attach the bednet to the frame, with a pet flap so that the cats can come and go without disturbing the rest of the canopy. So, for me, this bednet did not work.
