If you can imagine a normal cotton towel as drying you to %99 with the remaining 1% evaporated off - this thing seems to do about 85% drying/absorbing, with the remaining moisture spread out on the skin to dry quickly. I liken it to the way a chamois dries a car and spreads the rest out to be evaporated off.In short, seems great for camping, comes in a breathable pouch and has a tag you can attach to a tree or bag.
